Andrew has three absences so far this semester and has only attended class once. The Department of Rhetoric and Writing’s attendance policy states that a student may only miss four classes during a semester and will fail a course upon the fifth absence. Andrew needs to see me as soon as possible to discuss this and also other course policies and his progress in the class.
