Why are you guys using flat surface boards for gapping? Even if its flex the flat surface boards will rattle your teeth. Get a board with a spine and it will be a much better landing.

Slingshots are known for their soft landings wake to wake not on flat water. Take a look at the huge flat spot on the bottom. SMACK!! now if you land a little tail heavy the flex can absorb some of the landing, but land dead flat and your buying yourself a new set of knees. I actually have a recoil that I ride at the park because it presses so good but ride my watson for wake.

That sucks you broke your fibula, I did that 4 years ago and didnt properly let it heal and it would hurt for a day or so everytime I came down from a big landing (double ups or in the flats). I did a 9 foot dam drop earlier this summer and it hurt my fibula after 4 times. Definite respect for the stuff you guys do. But the best healing for my leg was the Slingshot D2's that I started riding last year. It started to not bother me, then I started riding the slingshot response and nowadays, I never notice it anymore. Its cuz the D2's put your foot in the right position and continuous rockers are awesome for landings, but nothing can save you from a drop like that, unless slingshot comes out with thicker footbeds. Thats what skateboarders do.
